Delete your InTimePost account
Effective date: 1 October 2026 · Last updated: 7 October 2026
In short
- You can delete your InTimePost account at any time; deletion cannot be undone.
- In the app: Profile → Settings → Delete account.
- If you cannot access the app, write to intimepost.app@gmail.com.
Deleting in the app
- 1. In the InTimePost app, tap Profile in the bottom bar.
- 2. Open Settings with the gear icon.
- 3. At the bottom, tap Delete account and confirm with Delete my account.
Your photo and voice files are deleted first, then your account and all your records. Deletion runs on our server as a single operation. If a step is interrupted (for example, because your internet connection drops), the deletion waits in a queue on the server and is completed on its own within a few minutes; you do not need to try again.
If you cannot access the app
If you lost your phone or cannot open the app, write to intimepost.app@gmail.com with the subject "Account deletion request". Include your @username and the email address of the Google or Apple account you signed in with; if possible, write from that address. Once we have confirmed that the account is yours, we will delete your account and data within 30 days at the latest and let you know.
If the address you write from does not match the email on your account (for example, if you hid your email when signing in with Apple), we may ask for additional information to confirm that the account is yours (for example, the date the account was created, or the recipient name and date of a capsule you sent).
What is deleted
When you delete your account, the following are deleted immediately:
- your account and profile (username, display name, bio, profile photo, birth year), your sign-in details and sessions;
- all the capsules you sent and their content: messages, photos, voice recordings, secret questions, share links. Recipients of your capsules that have not opened yet will never be able to open them;
- your chats: chats with everyone you wrote to are deleted, on the other person's side too;
- your follows, likes and block list;
- your repeating capsule chains (as sender or as recipient);
- reports made by you and about you;
- your notification device records, notification preferences, records on the Notifications page and pending notifications;
- your Premium subscription record and your subscriber record at RevenueCat.
What is kept
- Your store subscription: deleting your account does not cancel your Apple or Google subscription; you will keep being charged. Cancel it first in the store's subscription settings (iPhone: Settings → your Apple ID → Subscriptions; Android: Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions).
- Capsules sent to you belong to their sender: they stay in the sender's account, and only their link to you is removed (the sender can no longer see who claimed the capsule). The name the sender gave you when creating the capsule stays in their record.
- Capsules you received that were shared on Explore are removed from Explore; the capsule stays in the sender's account.
- If a child safety report was made about you, a copy of the reported content (in chat, the last 20 messages of that chat) and of your username (including photo and voice files) is kept locked for 1 year so it can be passed to the competent authorities (Privacy Policy).
- Copies in backups are deleted when the backup expires (after at most 60 days).
- If there is a legal obligation or an ongoing investigation, the relevant records may be kept for as long as that obligation requires.
Deleting data without deleting your account
- If you turn off notifications in Settings, your device record is deleted from our server.
- You can cancel a capsule you sent before it opens; its photo and voice files are deleted.
- You can remove your Explore posts at any time.
- If you want any other data deleted, write to us; your rights under the KVKK are set out in the KVKK Information Notice.
