In short
InTimePost exists so you can leave a gift for someone you love that opens when the time comes. The rules in one line: don't harm anyone.
- Harassment, threats, hate, nudity and sexual content, violence and spam are not allowed.
- Any content that exploits children is strictly forbidden and is reported to the authorities.
- If you see something wrong, Report it; if someone bothers you, Block them.
- Content that breaks the rules may be removed automatically; repeated breaches lead to a posting ban.
Where these rules apply
These rules apply to everything on InTimePost: capsules (including private capsules only the recipient will see), chat messages, Explore posts, usernames, display names, bios, secret questions and the names given to recipients.
What is not allowed
- Child exploitation: any content that shows children sexually, exploits them or sexualizes them, and any attempt to contact children for sexual purposes (grooming). Zero tolerance: the content is removed, the account is suspended and the authorities are notified. Details: Child Safety Standards.
- Nudity and sexual content: obscene photos, audio or text; intimate images of a person taken or shared without their consent.
- Harassment and bullying: humiliating, frightening or repeatedly bothering someone; trying to reach someone from another account after they blocked you.
- Violence and threats: calls for violence, threats, content that glorifies violence, encouraging self-harm.
- Hate speech: content that targets people because of their race, ethnic origin, religion, sex, sexual orientation, disability or similar characteristics.
- Spam and fraud: mass, unwanted capsules; fake giveaways, asking for money or passwords; harmful links.
- Impersonation: a username or profile that pretends to be someone else.
- Sharing private information: sharing someone's address, phone number, identity details or private photos without their permission.
- Unlawful content: encouraging crime, selling illegal goods or services, copyright infringement.
Report
You will find a Report option on Explore cards, on top of an opened photo, on every profile, on capsules sent to you (even while they are still locked) and on every chat message. Reasons: spam or misleading, harassment or bullying, nudity or sexual content, violence, hate speech, threatens a child's safety, other. You can add a short note if you like. The person you report is never told who reported them. An Explore post or chat message you report is not shown to you again.
Block
When you block someone: you no longer see their profile or Explore posts, and they cannot see yours; any follow between you is removed; you cannot follow each other or send each other capsules or messages; the chat between you is hidden from both of you (it comes back if you unblock, it is not deleted); and "your capsule is ready" or "your capsule was opened" notifications carrying your names are no longer sent for capsules between you. The person you block is not told. You can unblock people in Settings → Blocked.
What happens if the rules are broken
Some decisions are made automatically, without waiting for a human:
- A username, display name or bio containing a banned word is not saved. A message containing a banned word does not appear on Explore; a chat message containing a banned word is not sent.
- A single report for child safety, nudity, violence or hate hides the content from Explore immediately. For other reasons, reports from 3 different people have the same effect. Opening notifications are also no longer sent for a reported capsule.
- An account that has had 3 pieces of content hidden in the last 90 days, each reported by at least two different people, or that has been reported by 3 different people in the last 30 days, cannot post to Explore for 30 days.
For serious or repeated breaches we may remove content and suspend or close the account. These decisions are made by a human. A suspended account cannot send capsules or messages, follow, like or post to Explore, and its profile is not visible to others; capsules it sent before continue to open for their recipients. When a suspended person tries a restricted action, they see that their account is suspended and how to appeal (Appeals). Child safety reports are flagged as urgent and reviewed first.
Appeals
If you think your content was hidden unfairly, or a posting ban was applied by mistake, write to intimepost.app@gmail.com with your @username. A human reviews your appeal; if it was unfair, the content is restored and the reports are closed. If your account is suspended, you can also appeal with the "Appeal this decision" button in the app (once for each suspension, up to 1000 characters); a person reviews it and we tell you the result with an in-app notification.
Emergencies
If someone's life is in danger or a crime is being committed, call your local emergency number first (112 in Turkey and across Europe, 911 in the United States). You can report child abuse at ihbarweb.org.tr or to the Turkish National Police, or, from anywhere, to NCMEC's CyberTipline at report.cybertip.org. If you are having thoughts of harming yourself, you are not alone; you can call your local emergency number.
